can't play aac files
hi everyone,
I am trying to play aac files in Winamp 5.03 but it dose not work. I did put in_mp4.dll in C:\Program Files\Winamp\Plugins but i ended up with "Gain control not yet implemented". Anyone with the solution would be most welcome ! Cheers cadumpitole |

Are they .acc files, or .mp4, .m4a, .m4p?
Are you using the default in_mp4 included with Winamp 5.03 or a third party one? Are you using the default MP3 decoder that comes with Winamp, or a third-party one? (MAD, mpg123, MP3Pro). Do a full uninstall and reinstall. |

.aac support is provided by Nullsoft in_mp3.dll
.m4a support is provided by Nullsoft in_mp4.dll If using the audiocoding.com or rarewares.org in_mp4, then you need to configure it to also handle .aac, as well as removing aac from the Nullsoft in_mp3 config (Prefs > Plugins > Input). Or, as drewbar suggested, if you've disabled the Nullsoft in_mp3.dll in order to use some shabby 3rd-party mp3 plugin, and you aren't using a 3rd-party in_mp4 plugin, then you won't have support for .aac |

i did the uninstall/reinstall. Did not change anything.
I think it has to do with the files because I converted stuff into aac (m4a) and it worked in Winamp. Thanks anyway cadumpitole |
