My first skin: Black Line.(black and white)

They said that you should post here before submitting a Skin. So I'll do.

It is a skin that I made a year ago, but havent taken the time to post it yet. But I do now.

The idea was to have a skin that works well in WinShade mode, preferably placed at the top of the screen, that way I can access winamp anytime.

I like it quite much, it's the only skin I use, so it can't be that bad.

If you like I would surely want to know!

If you find any bugs or have any ideas of improvement(the non-ws modes isn't all perfect) please tell me.

Hmmm . . . straightforward, clean and high contrast. This really is my kind of skin! I find it personally appealing, although I think I'd like to see the min/max buttons for each window even when that window isn't highlighted. It would also be nice to see a button for the winshade mode (between the minimize and close buttons) in the Main window.

I think I see a bug with the repeat button. When it's on, there's a white line at the bottom that looks thicker than when it's off. This may be intentional, but it looks a bit odd when the button is being toggled.

Is this your first skin? Regardless, it's a pretty good effort.

Heh, actually that isn't far from how it looked at first:

Or in ws mode: (that's what it's made for)

But I did not like it that much , so I changed it.

Fixed and fixed.
But I did't add then in Winshade Mode, since that make it not as clean IMO.
And the WS-button isn't perfect either, it's hard to make it fit, but you can atleast see were it is.

the text for the window titles and buttons is too thick, ie, the playlist. The c-button symbols are nice and small and thin, but the add, remoev, and window titles are real thick.

I think the thick letters work, but I agree you might tone down the playlist title so it matches the main and eq...

I don't know how one-pixel-thick labels can be seen to be "too thick" To me, the PL button labels are a good size, and as thin as you'd ever want them to be, and IMO it's actually the cbutton labels that need to become bigger.

Also, consider making the shuffle and repeat buttons rounded rectangles, to suit the rest of the buttons.

I believe Dlink was referring to the + and - signs, which are thicker. I don't necessarily think they need to be changed tho.

Ok, I see.

I agree that the + and - don't match the "sel" and "misc" very well, but if I was to change this, I'd make the "sel" and "misc" bigger, instead of making the + and - smaller.

I don't think it's a big problem if the stack labels don't match the cbutton labels, because the buttons are different sizes, so it makes sense for the stack labels to be bigger/thicker in this case. However, regardless, I still think the cbutton labels would be better if they were thicker.

Yes. Thick or thin, it doesn't matter to me, but the skin imho right now is not very constiant. The lables for main window buttons aer thing, then EQ sliders aer thick, the playlist buttons are mixed, and the titlebars are thick. Some consistancy is all I really want.

Im using two styles, chosed after situatation: Twopixel-thick and Minimalpixel small.
For text and cbuttons I use as few pixels possible. In the playlist it would not really fit with the + and - being onepixel thick since then they would be brighter than the sel and misc, maybe I could change them all to have labels.
The cbuttons is the same as used in winshade. But as I look at it maybe I should change the labels in eq since they do not match the songtitle font. And in the playlist menus, were I just made the text as big as possible, maybe I should use the same font as the songtitle there too.
I will fix the playlis title font, but I think verdana bold works well for the other windows, if anyone post another sugesstion I'll consider it.
