No bass coming from my speakers...

I was listening to music and all of a sudden the bass on my speakers just kind of STOPPED...Now i've been avidly using them (and fairly loudly) for months...did I blow out the bass? I mean I still get sound out of all my speakers just NO BASS ... which I have trouble living without.
Oh by the way they are logitech 5.1 Z-640 speakers..
I'm betting it's a speaker issue but I wanted to see if anyone might know exactly what happened..because Logitech Customer support didn't have a clue

Could the equalizer have been messed with?

Make sure that the subwoofer dial is turned up enough (it should be found on the back...I have the 2.1 model)
