ejecting ipod from ml_ipod

is there a way that you can set up the plugin so when u eject it...u are able to control the ipod and use it while it is plugged into the computer charging...and i would also like to have it turned off while its plugged into the PC charging after i eject it

i know if i go to device manager---disk drives...and disable the apple computer ipod driver and unplug and plug the ipod back in it will work...i was just hoping for a easier way....but eather way....your plugin kicks a$$
