winamp 5.04 illegal operation

First off, my hardware setup:

-Pentium 4 at 1500MHz
-512MB RDRAM
-Windows 98SE
-Soundblaster Live! (it seems to be a legacy version as the Creative website claims to have updated the hardware on their new Soundblaster Live! cards)

I just started experiencing this problem recently. The only possible cause of this problem (as far as I can tell) might be that I've installed quite a few Winamp plugins recently. Here's the problem: every time I close Winamp I receive an illegal operation popup that refers to kernel32.dll. The exact error message is as follows:

I just uninstalled and reinstalled Winamp 5.04 and the error has not gone away. Can anybody help me resolve this problem? Thanks.

When you reinstalled, did you do a clean install?
