My winamp, v. 2.70, cuts off songs about 5 to 10 seconds too early. Can someone please tell me how to fix this?

How would using Windows 2000 cause the problem?

I'm not using windows 2000, and it doesn't do this in other players.

Does it happen with other file types, or just MP3s?

Whoever ripped the song had the settings set so that the first and last data packets get cut.
So when you play it you cannot hear the parts that got cut. |
