Whenever I load a CD with Winamp (open dir), a box always pops up that says "Connect failed." How do I remedy this problem?

I know it sounds kinda dumb put It's possible winamp isn't connecting to the internet, check option -> preferences -> setup -> Internet connection

Well I'm on cable, so....I doubt that's a solution. I fixed the box that came up, but when I put a CD in, it doesn't have the CDDB box that pops up showing me the status of it and it doesn't name the tracks.
