Tried it both ways.
in_wm 1.0 and in_dshow both work fine and let me use the DSP, but they both break reading WMA track info by the media library. That is unfluffy.
I've tried the tracks in a few other apps. WMP 10, of couse, plays fine. So does Nero's player and the ATI Multimedia file player. No Foobar2000 here.
I figured out what the problem is: WMP 10 has screwed with some newer codecs enough to cause buffering problems in Winamp. It will only happen with the WMA9/10 VBR and Lossless WMA.
What you need to do is go into the Directsound plugin options and increase the prebuffer to 604ms. It might depend on how fast your system is but 604ms works for me and 603ms skips. If it still skips try higher numbers.
