second stream fails to output

Both connect fine...

stream 1 - 96kbps (encoder 1) port 8000

stream 2 - 40kbps (encoder 2) port 8002

DSP plugin...

output 1 uses port 8000 encoder 1
output 2 uses port 8002 encoder 2

output 1 sitll works perfectly fine...but output 2 plays the intro mp3 and stops...the DSP plugin still says its uploading =/

Just a shot in the dark... but are you using the same intro file for BOTH streams? If so, that could be your problem. The intro file needs to be encoded at the same samplerate/channels as the stream (using the same bitrate helps too). (ie: two intro files... one encoded at 96kbps/44.100kHz/Stereo and the other at 40kbps/22.050kHz/Mono)

From the config file:
; IntroFile can specify a mp3 file that will be streamed to listeners right
; when they connect before they hear the live stream.
; Note that the intro file MUST be the same samplerate/channels as the
; live stream in order for this to work properly. Although bitrate CAN
; vary, you can use '%d' to specify the bitrate in the filename
; (i.e. C:\intro%d.mp3 would be C:\intro64.mp3 if you are casting at 64kbps).
; The default is no IntroFile
; IntroFile=F:\intro96.mp3

Then be sure to point the config file for each stream to the correct version of the intro file.
I know there's another way to do this, but this was the way that worked easiest for me.

BTW, I personally wouldn't use Encoder 1 for ANYTHING. Very buggy, as posted many times in the forums (like when switching between Winamp Input and Soundcard Input modes). I use Encoder 2 for Output 1, and use Encoder 3 for Output 2.

the intro file im using is 128k bitrate

the stream that is working is encoded in 96k bitrate

i changed it to where the 40kbps stream uses a differently named same file...

but if the encoder has to be the same bitrate, then how does a 96kbps stream use a 128kbps mp3?

The absolute main thing that matters is the samplerate/channels (ie: 22.050kHz/Mono for the 40kbps stream). You can use a resampling program to resample the intro file. Something like dBpowerAMP Music Converter works great for this. Get it here: http://www.dbpoweramp.com/dmc.htm

Tell me exactly what your intro file is encoded at AND the stream your having problems with.
What is the:
1. bitrate (kbps)
2. samplerate (kHz)
3. channels (mono OR stereo)
... for each one (intro AND stream)?

If they don't all match up, that could be your problem.
