Key to talk?

I would like to use ventrilo as my program to broadcast over shoutcast but I would like it so whenever i press my push to talk key it broadcasts only then rather then just my microphone always being on to broadcast. Is there any way to do this?

Try selecting line in and mic only in your mixer settings. Not "stereo mix" or "wav".

mixer settings? I go to input and then Open Mixer and all it brings up are volume levels...
