not a router, but a hub
I'm running a network with 3 computers and a dsl modem all connected through a Netgear FS105 network hub. This allows any of my computers to access the internet without being on a network and doesn't require that any other computer be on, like with a server. I have a network setup among them in windows though so I can share files when needed. The problem I'm having is that I can't get my SHOUTcast stream outside of my LAN. Since I'm running a hub, I don't know if I can even map outgoing or incoming ports. The computer I'm running the stream on has XP, but it has the firewall disabled. I can access my stream inside the LAN via http://169.254.67.203:4000/ and also http://192.168.1.95:4000/
. I chose port 4000 because that is used by Starcraft and I know that it works to access BlizzardNet and I can play games against other people successfully. When I check my IP from an online site it displays 68.211.223.93. Any ideas on how I can get my stream working would be greatly, greatly appreciated. <09/28/04@01:55:42> [SHOUTcast] DNAS/win32 v1.9.4 (Mar 17 2004) starting up... <09/28/04@01:55:42> [main] loaded config from C:\Program Files\SHOUTcast\sc_serv.ini <09/28/04@01:55:42> [main] initializing (usermax:10 portbase:4000)... <09/28/04@01:55:42> [main] No ban file found (sc_serv.ban) <09/28/04@01:55:42> [main] No rip file found (sc_serv.rip) <09/28/04@01:55:42> [main] opening source socket <09/28/04@01:55:42> [main] source thread starting <09/28/04@01:55:42> [main] opening client socket <09/28/04@01:55:42> [source] listening for connection on port 4001 <09/28/04@01:55:42> [main] Client Stream thread [0] starting <09/28/04@01:55:42> [main] client main thread starting <09/28/04@01:56:09> [source] connected from 127.0.0.1 <09/28/04@01:56:10> [source] icy-name:ScooterTech Productions ; icy-genre:Hip-Hop <09/28/04@01:56:10> [source] icy-pub:1 ; icy-br:96 ; icy-url: <09/28/04@01:56:10> [source] icy-irc: ; icy-icq: ; icy-aim:killerscoot03 <09/28/04@01:56:20> [yp_add] yp.shoutcast.com gave error (nak) <09/28/04@01:56:20> [yp_add] yp.shoutcast.com gave extended error (Cannot see your station/computer (IP: 68.211.223.93:4000) from the Internet, disable Internet Sharing/NAT/firewall/ISP cache (Connection timed out)) |
