Time is wrong

I've noticed that the time is ahead by 4 hours on this forum. I have my settings correct but the time shows:
"All times are GMT -8 hours. The time now is 06:31 PM."

The time where I am is actually 2:31 pm.

Not sure where else to post this.

I think it got worse when the forums were down for a while a few days ago. It was already pretty off though.

Solution: My Control panel > Edit options > Date and time options > Time offset > reset your timezone.
Example: GMT -5:00 hrs. goes to GMT -9:00 hrs.

Wouldn't that create a 4-hour vacuum in your space-time continuum during which a secret conspiracy would have unravelled to hurl your reality through an irredeemable trajectory towards misery, famine, pestilence, and death?

i'd think that it was the forums' server's clock that is off by 4 hours.

If it's the server, maybe the clock can be reset in the BIOS.

Other option might be to use a time sync. program.

I'm just spittin' out ideas here. I don't know nuthin' 'bout no server.

I feel a song coming on...

Quote:
It's astounding, time is fleeting
Madness takes its toll
But listen closely, not for very much longer
I've got to keep control

I remember doing the TIme Warp
Drinking those moments when
The blackness would hit me and the void would be calling
Let's do the time warp again...
Let's do the time warp again!

It's just a jump to the left
And then a step to the right
With your hands on your hips
You bring your knees in tight
But it's the pelvic thrust that really drives you insane,
Let's do the Time Warp again!

It's so dreamy, oh fantasy free me
So you can't see me, no not at all
In another dimension, with voyeuristic intention
Well-secluded, I see all
With a bit of a mind flip
You're there in the time slip
And nothing can ever be the same
You're spaced out on sensation, like you're under sedation
Let's do the Time Warp again!

Well I was walking down the street just a-having a think
When a snake of a guy gave me an evil wink
He shook me up, he took me by surprise
He had a pickup truck and the devil's eyes.
He stared at me and I felt a change
Time meant nothing, never would again
Let's do the Time Warp again!

Given the horror that was a rendition of the time warp, I have made a quick edit to correct the time, however, while the forum is showing the correct time, the server is still wrong, so if someone notices at aol, and fixes it (i did send message that it was wrong but they appear to have been ignored), then the forums time will go wrong again and i'll have to correct the quick edit i've put in place.

long and short of it...time is fixed.

yes.

Who can say where the road goes,
Where the day flows?
Only time...

And who can say if your love grows,
As your heart chose?
Only time...

(chants)

Who can say why your heart sighs,
As your love flies?
Only time...

And who can say why your heart cries,
When your love dies?
Only time...

(chants)

Who can say when the roads meet,
That love might be,
In your heart.

And who can say when the day sleeps,
The moon still keeps on moving
If the night keeps all your heart?
Night keeps all your heart...

(extended chants)

Who can say if your love grows,
As your heart chose?
Only time...

And who can say where the road goes,
Where the day flows?
Only time...

Who knows?
Only time...

Who knows?
Only time...

I don't think Time is wrong...It's just a regular magazine publication that produces nothing out of the ordinary...

You know what's wrong? Those Muscle Fitness mags that feature a muscular woman on the cover...Arg...

Pfft .. 4 hours, that's nothing. I remember when they changed the calendar back in '52 we lost eleven days.
The populace was outraged at having their lives shortened in such an abrupt manner, there was rioting in the streets, comets in the sky and a rain of frogs.
