well even if he was wired it didn't make any differences in the debates he still sounded like himself. I go with the bullet proof vest theory.

Bush wasn't wearing a bulletproof vest, according to what White House officials told the NY Times, but hey might have just said that for "security reasons".

Since he's not smart enough to answer questions himself on the fly, the only possible explanation is that he was receiving answers via either radio receiver or ESP. And I don't believe in ESP.
