How important are clothes to you?

How important is your wardrobe?

Do you spend alot of money on clothes or just wake up and throw on that t-shirt?

I dress professionally but stylish in business suits when I go to work. At home it totally varies. There are days when I just want to hang out in sweatpants and then there are days when I dress up.

I dont spend alot of money in clothes. Probably about 500.00 per year.

I look smart for work, because the enviroment demands it, shirt , tie, shiny shoes etc etc.

At home I couldn't give a rats ass, I live in t-shirts and shorts around the house, my trusty 501's and boots outside the house.

I have two pairs of grotty old levis, and about 5-6 wearable tshirts. One pair of trainers for all occasions. Everything is clean mind you, but that's all i have.

I note it's trandy now for t-shirts to come with that "old" look, in the same style as pre-faded jeans, with the pictures on them looking as if they're half worn off.

Half of my t-shirts are like that anyway, so suddently I've become trendy for free. Although IMO the pre-worn t-shirts look rather unconvincing and fake.

Well I like classic styles and mix in some trendy stuff.
I don't spend much on clothes because I am a clearance freak. I will buy things on clearance and get them dirt cheap. Yes I am a C A B *cheap ass bitch*. I spend more
on purses than I do on my clothes.
And...I spend way more on my kids clothes than I do on mine.

The clothes I buy must do one of two things (or both):
be comfortable
look good

I buy lots of stuff from target, wal-mart, kohles, because it's hela comfortable, and doesn't look half bad. A new store just opened recently called plato's closet which sells used brand name clothes, and I got 2 abercrombie sweaters (about 80 bucks each in store) and 3 t-shits (20-30 in store) for a grand total of about 45 bucks. It rocks!

I buy maybe a pair of jeans and ~3 shirts each year. Almost everything is a neutral color so I don't even think about if something matches when I wake up and pick a random shirt and pants

I found a shopping buddy! Seriously, I don't remember the last time I paid full price on clothes. Long live Ross, TJ Maxx, and Marshalls!!!

I dress up for work, but, other than that, I'm scrubbed out most of the time. If I feel "perky" enough, I'll throw on the good pair of jeans, 3" heel boots, and Jaz's fave sweater

Middle of the ghetto. Exceptionally comfortable white power shirt.

That should be a game show, dump someone in the ghetto in a white power shirt, then say "Go!" and if they get out alive they get their various wounds and missing limbs treated for free. And a hot plate!

I generally don't care what I wear (within reason), but I refuse to wear any clothes with the brand name easily visible (but I will wear political tshirts).

As long as it fits and doesn't look like total shit, it's fine by me. Only thing I'm really specific about is my shoes: gotta wear my Chuck Taylors. Those babies are the best shoes ever made, regardless of the **** takeover.

Me too. I spend wayyyyyyyy more money on clothes for my boys than myself. Corey is all into the skater boy look and I spend tons of money on vans and skater wear. Dylan really does not care. Kyle (my 9 year old) could care less except for his sneakers. They have to be vans.

I care...I'm nitpicky on brands; I like Quiksilver, Billabong, Vans, Motor Brands USA, and Target brand clothings and I only wear Vans shoes...Especially Target; I might also buy from brand places like the Buckle and Hot Topic (For rock band shirts), but as far as convinient stores go, I don't ever buy from places like Wal-Mart or K-Mart...I only like Target for some reason...

As far as what I wear goes, I'm nitpicky on that too...On Mondays, I'll most likely wear a shirt with the least appealing t-shirt graphic, but by Friday and the weekend, I'll kinda "flash out" with an obnoxious t-shirt graphic/logo that looks more like a billboard ad than a clothing article... Also goes for jeans too...I'll wear my bitchin' teal green Quiksilver jeans on Friday and the weekend, but not in the weekdays...

I'm cheap, though...I don't like spending alot...Even if a pair of jeans on clearance at Target are priced at $12, I might wait until they drop down to $8 before I buy them, or otherwise not get them at all...I found a pair of navy blue Phys. Sci jeans on clearance at Target for $4 once... I also show at TJ-Maxx/Marshall's for my Quiksilver shirts and stuff for like $8 and $10 bucks...Got lots of brand-name clothing there for dirt-cheap...That's where I got my teal Quiksilver jeans too...

During fall weather and cool winter-spring, I'll wear my uncle's US Army camo jacket...I'm always wearing my Ford Racing hat, though...Can't leave home without it...

This is kind of funny, because I guess I thought of this question a little different than every one else.

It been ages since I've gotten anything new, but some of the clothes I have I really like and consider kind of important to me; they're kinda part of my identity.

I've got an orange Titleist hat that I've worn forever, and is falling apart. At graduation I wore it and duct taped the tassel on the top, instead of the crappy cap.

I've been wearing the shell/hemp necklace my GF made me for about 8 mo. now.
I were Tshirts every where. (Ahh... sweet, carefree, college!)
I've got a $160 wool Express coat that I got at TJ Max for $20 because it was missing a button! It replaced my HS letterman's jacket last winter.
I've got a pair of Reef sandal's that I've worn every day since I got them this spring.
And about 5 pair's of jeans that I usually wear 5 or six times before I wash them.

I like nice clothes for formal occasions and for business casual, but I'll bum around in anything on the days off.

My weapon of choice for formal affairs, client meetings and fancy dinners is my black Armani. I have several other suits, but they're second-rate. I saw a very nice pin-striped Versace a couple of years ago that I'll buy someday as well.

For every day wear it's business casual, which means Dockers or slacks (Pierre Cardin, Hugo Boss, etc.) and either a polo shirt, one of my beloved Murano pullovers, or something similar.

For the days off, it's cheap shorts or Levi's, and my favorite super-geeky "Women of Star Trek" T-shirt, which my girlfriend simply loves. (Or any other tee when that one's dirty.)

I spend about $1000 to $1500 per year on clothes.

I'm a psychosomatic sister running around without a leash.
