You cannot run shoutcast on your webserver if you're just using free hosts Most paid hosts don't even let you..

Well...

well I run a radio station called radio galore. I am willing to give you a fully hosted shoutcast server + website hosting for £18 a month if you wish?

Included in the package :

A fully installed Shoutcast server up 24hrs a day.

PHP and Mysql supported web-server.

400mb of web-space.

+ bonus... I will give you the script that you can run on your website which will let you have a "Now Playing", "DJ Name" show up automatically.

If your interested email me : WormsDJ@Blueyonder.co.uk

If anyone else is interested feel free to email me to. I feel this will solve both the "No adverts on your site" problem and the Now Playing Script problem.

.tk URL's are redirects. Their website is indeed at a free host (Homestead) but the stream is hosted on what appears to be a home connection through Bell.

You CAN set up a site on a free host, but you will still need a stream server which you cannot put on a free webhosting account.

it is possible, but there are numerous factors involved. for example, you need to have shell access. you need ample bandwidth for atleast one listener (your source). in alot of cases, even if you have enough bandwidth, a host wont allow this and will, without any warning, close down your account immediately if they see a shoutcast server running on your account.

now if you got yourself a dedicated server, your free to use it as you wish. you have no limits other than the disk space and bandwidth which in alot of cases is more than enough for a starting station.

hope this helped
