Good classical music.
...I like classical music, but dont know really what to look for. Anyone got any suggestions?
I like symphonic stuff... I am a huge fan of Apocalyptica (unconventional Symphony music) . Anyone else like classical music? |

If you like Apocalyptica, try Shostakovich.

you should just d/l some compilations full of different composers....it's probably the easiest way to figure out who and what you like.

Wow, that's a nice list, DJ. I'm not that familiar with classical music, but my favourites are definitely there (Rachmaninov, Shostakovich, Mahler, Strauss, Tchaikovsky, and you mentioned Mozart).
I missed Bach, though (yeah I know, that's not post-Beethoven)

@lapikas
Someone mentioned him already, so I decided include just one not-so-famous name that would get more attention. ![]() And BTW, Erik Satie preferred to spell his name [Erik] with a k, not c, like I stated earlier. ditto Satie
worthwhile: Bartok's string quartets (6 of them) It's not strictly classical but check out some of John Zorn's Masada stuff, esp The Circle Maker |

Both Bartok's and Shostakovich's string quartets are essentials imo.

Maybe you'll like "One Winged Angel" by Nobuo Uematsu. ^_~ It's quite apocalyptic.
