You really should update to Winamp 5.05. A lot of bug fixes and, more important, this security issue.

If you think Winamp 5 is slow, take a look at these tweaks:
Winamp like the wind
Really, Winamp 5 isn't slower than 2.91. Just be sure to uncheck Modern Skin support and burning/ripping support in the installer.

To make the warning stop (if you really want to keep using the old, unsupported, buggy, vulnerable 2.91 version ), uncheck this option:
Prefs > General Preferences > 'Check for new versions of Winamp at startup'

Sorry Nunzio...

What do you have to do to stop the message from popping up? UPGRADE to Winamp 5.05. We do not support any other release/version here and you cannot ask for help if a problem ever arises with an older version. You are also running a security risk with the version you are using. You say you're not concerned with the security risk? Then I suggest that you read my post HERE for more on that. You'll change your mind.

DOH!!

This skin launches an embedded Internet Explorer browser within the Skin using a feature of the Winamp Modern Skin Engine.
Are you sure 2.91 is affected?

There are other security fixes since 2.91 including this one. So regardless of whither the skin exploit affects 2.91, a upgrade to 5.05 is the best option.

Who is following who?!

@siebe83

Don't let Nunzio get to you. He did the some thing to me back in Winamp3 Tech Support and now you have become his latest "victim". Of course, we all know you are not the one to blame.

Please do not PM me for tech support. Any request for tech support through PM will be ignored.

Hehe, as long as I'm the first to post, it's ok with me

Nah, I think it's mainly because my replies are mostly short with some links, while Nunzio takes the time to write a full reply. Nunzio always adds something I forgot to mention (or which I was too lazy for to mention ;p).

Bleh indeed.
Sick of seeing these type of threads.
For the last time... Winamp 5x is the continuation of Winamp 2x and runs/looks exactly the same if you don't install support for modern skins & cd burning/ripping, or just use the classic base skin, blah blah . . . and 2.91 is full of bugs, blah blah . . . whacked.
