No, its Discus:

Quote:
An event known from Homeric poems and one that the Greeks loved most. It was part of the pentathlon. A fleeting moment of discus throwing is captured in the famous statue of the Discus-thrower by Myron, a copy of which can be seen in Athens, opposite the Panathinaic Stadium.

Here is a photo of said statue:

Hope you found this little bit of info about the discus interesting, though what is has to do with Atlantis is beyond me.

It would be nice if it were true but I think this guy has a very long way to go before anything above the past pretenders comes to light.
That being said, everyone knows that the gateway to the real Atlantis was hidden away by the Ancients.

I am so important I feel the need to let it be known like a liberal discovering the internets for the first time. Uh hur hur hur. I also wash myself with a rag on a stick.

Everyone knows that Atlantis actually was an ancient Dutch city in the now IJsselmeer.

If you're bored go here or, if the boredom is more serious, here.

No, that was Urk, once an island in the Zuiderzee (now IJsselmeer), it is an island no longer.

I thought Atlantis was in the Pegasus Galaxy... then again, most US citizens wouldn't know that...

I will let you know people, I live in Crete, and I have some friends in Cyprus that might confirm me this info.
I hope to be real thing and find some money this project to bring it up, or to make us able to visit it as tourists some day in the next decade

Currently, the most reliable rumors are, in order of reliability, top to bottom:
Off the coast of Cyprus.
Off the coast of Iceland.
.
.
.
.
and way less reliable, off the coast of Ireland, while this is mainly considered to be a type-o.
For those of you that find this info familiar: Yes, it was also discussed in Disney's Atlantis, but I picked up the info somewhere else long before that release.

But Atlantis is not really overly present in my vat of useless trivia and so that's about all I know about it.
