Before I just straight in [Newbie Questions]
Sorry if these questions have been asked, I have searched and it did not turn anything up. Could not find any FAQ's
I am looking at doing the following setup. 1. I want to stream live from record decks via a standard a mixer. Now my question is what do I need to do/use after the signal leaves the output on the mixer. Do I just plug it directly into the line-in on my sound card? Has anyone got any thoughts on min spec for PC? Thanking you in advance Huet |

Line-In on the soundcard from the Rec-Out or Line-Out of the mixer -- You will need an adapter cable with a the right jacks [or an adapter] for this -- select "soundcard input" in the WinAMP DSP -- open the Windows RECORD mixer -- mute all of the inputs except Line-In [stay away from "what you hear"] -- my record mixer shows a VU when it's active -- You have to watch the level unlike with an MP3 playlist. Windows Mixers are different, so open both the record and playback mixers and notice what happens when you trim the Line-In level -- some mixers will bind them together, on some they are independent -- some record mixers only allow one input to be selected, so if you intend to use the mic, you may want to use it on the "real" mixer. Getting the WinMixers "right" can be tricky, so play around with them first before you invite a ton of listerners...
One more thing -- if you switch between soundcard input and WinAMP input on the DSP you should exit and re-start WinAMP or strange things will happen.... [It's the "Encoder 1" thing]. /* v2 HTML5 / Player test pages DigitalMixNYC, DigitalMixNYCbx | DNAS Status: Now Playing js codes (scaststatus_X.php) | PortForward.com | Upload/Download Speed Test | No-IP.com: Free Dynamic DNS | In the YP | dnasDir */ |
