playlist import problume

when i try to import my songs in to the play list it imports some most songs 2 or 3 times is there any way i can stop this from happing?

Did you install any 3rd-party plugins?

How do you add your songs to the playlist? Are you dragging/opening them from Explorer, or adding them through the Add button in the playlist editor? (or another way?)
Maybe you're accidently adding playlist files (containing the same songs) at the same time?
What sort of files? Mp3, wma?

Are you using the latest version of Winamp? (i.e. 5.06)
Please provide system specs.
