Going old school
After a year of banging my head against the desk with regards to today's current music scene, I've decided to make more of an effort to dig up the older genres. I could hit up Marvin for the Motown, spaceplay for the blues, Xerxes for anything pre-WWII, and that just leaves Cylob...
There are fewer and fewer new bands/artists that really catch my ear these days. |

I know the feeling. There are a few new bands I've been liking but I've been kinda gravitating back to my 8th Grade/Freshman music lately. Not as old as Motown and Blues but I kinda missed out on all that. Back to the Nine Inch Nails, Stabbing Westward, Old School Metallica and the like.

Saybia is one of the new groups that really got my attention. I surrender is their current song on the list in Europe. |

It's one of the great things living in this age, there is 50 years of music out there just waiting for you
![]() Been having a bit of a reggae, ska and two tone revival here, wonderful stuff if you like dancing. UJ |

i've found Juno Reactor to be quite relaxing for some reason. the trance/techno(whatever it's called these days) is pretty good. makes me want to go racing for some reason.

If we're talking today's music scene, there's a wealth of excellent bands out there, the standard hasn't dropped off at all.
America's indie rock bands are numerous, and as good as anything else on print. ![]() ![]() ![]() The "college circuit" is alive and well. Also, there's great music coming from germany, it's the hub of electro & darkwave. The problem is, there's too much fucking music! HELP!!!! |
