Bitrate resetting?

Hi.

Me and some other guys have set up a small radio station for a few selected people two days ago, and already it's all good. We have peaked at 21 listeners, which is how many we intend to have.

The problem is, that when the dj speaks in his microphone, his output stream resets to 24kbps.
How is this fixed? Is there a certain way he should configure his dsp plugin?

Use the encoder 2 instead of the 1 ?
