PANAMA CITY, Fla. -- Florida authorities are calling a Panhandle couple "America's dumbest criminals."

The pair was arrested after they called police to say their quarter-pound stash of marijuana had been stolen and that they needed it back because they were going to sell it.

The News Herald in Panama City said in custody are an 18-year-old man and 17-year-old woman.

The duo is charged with possession of marijuana with intent to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia that authorities reported finding in their apartment.
