Audio Recording Programs

Hey guys, need some suggestions..

I need a good free audio program to record vocals and mix tracks with. A little about what I use now:

Fruity Loops & Gemini Starter Dj in a Box kit for instrumentals..

Goldwave for recording vocals and mixing.

My brother uses 'Cool Edit Pro 2' but it isnt free, I may get a copy from him sometime but Im need of something now..

If you know any good programs for audio recording/mixing that is free and easy to use please post.
