No Device List shown in Media Library... how to rip??
I've been searching these forums for hours with my many issues, and have finally come to a problem that I can't solve. At first, Winnamp wouldn't load and play cds... but I've fixed that problem by downloading the cd reader plug in. However, after doing that, there is no longer a device list on the view for Media Library... so I have no idea how to start ripping. (the instructions say to click on the cd drive under the device listing, but since there is no device listiing...) I have no problem getting the cds to play (they play automatically in winnamp when i put them in)
Please help me with this issue... I want my cds on my ipod! (and its been a struggle to get this far, b/c well.. I have ME and we all know how sucky that is) Thanks |

The CD Reader does not support the Media Library or ripping. You are going to have to remove that.
Do a full uninstall and reinstall. |

I couldn't get the player to play cds before that... and I couldn't get it to rip them before I installed it either. The only device under the cds was for burning cds (not ripping them) so when I clicked it, it just saw the audio cd as a blank cd with no room left on it. In other words, there was no track listing, etc.
