Media Skipping - - Please Help!
I've been having trouble with my MP3s... Whether I use Winamp or Windows Media Player (which sucks), the songs only tend to skip when I open a folder or internet explorer, or have some activity. If I don't touch anything, they play through fine, but it's really annoying...
I tried configuring DirectSound on the output menu, which I was told to do, but still nothing... I have the latest version of Winamp, and my system specs are: Windows 2000/ME 127 MB Ram 71% Free Systems Resources 37 GB Hard Drive Can anyone please help me? |

do you have w2k or ME ?
if ME try using wave-out if w2k, use directsound TSGH > What's the difference between DirectSound and waveOut (DirectSound Output FAQ) also read this: Like the Wind |

then its suggested you try using waveout...although it does lack some of the features of directsound. try switching between the two and see if you notice a difference.
and remember to read Like the Wind, its helpful. Just to ask, do you have the latest version of DirectX direct sound requires v8 or higher (in windows> run > dxdiag if you dont know what version you have.) |
