Media Library Listing
I imported around 300 albums into my media library and they can all be found in winamp. The only problem im having is that they are in alphabetical order, and not in the track listing order like i would like them to be.
Is there an easy setting for me to change to get these album tracks in order? edit: I found that most of the songs i have are in order but some that do not have the track number listed in the mp3 tag are not. But there filename from the previous source is. Can i make them list in order of their filename for some and from the tag for others? |

I'm not sure about that, but (from what I understand) your filenames have the track numbers in them. You can do one of two things:
1. Download ID3-TagIt and make ID3 tags for all your mp3s. You can do them all at once from the filename. The button on the toolbar at the end on the right (or the one just before that, can't remember) is for "filename to Tag" and you can specify the way it creates the tag from the filename. Then all your mp3s will have the track number and you can sort them like that in the Media Library. That is what I would do (I like all my mp3s to have tags). 2. You can have Winamp sort the files intuitively from the filenames. It'll "extract" the information from the filename based on a template you give it. I can't remember where to do this because I don't have the internet at home and here at college there ain't no winamp. It's somewhere in the Preferences. Or try creating a new "smart view" in the Media Library, maybe that will do what you want. Sorry this is a bit vague. |
