Have you installed a codec for the sound format or do you have trouble finding one?

In both cases, which one?

I just do not understand how to check nor install a codec, I need a step by step idiot proof instruction as to what I should do.

I don't want to scew up my existing pc settings by just bumbling along.

Hope you understand and sorry to be such a pain.

You should tell us what GSpot says in the audio codec area, then it would be easier to help you.

Here are the most common ones:
CoreVorbis (Choose the one with installer and run it.)
CoreAAC (The CoreAAC directshow filter < this one. Unzip somewhere, then doubleclick on register_release.bat, if Windows complains say you want to install it anyway.)
AC3 Filter (Just click on download and run the installer.)

This is what I received from Gspot, does this mean the sound tack cannot be played?:

DirectShow partially succeeded to play file. The actual text of the error or warning is:

0x00040242: VFW_S_PARTIAL_RENDER - Some of the streams in this movie are in an unsupported format.

The following combination of filters were used:

{C:\Documents and Sett..-.. Man 2 Full Movie.avi} (Video Source)
{AVI Splitter} (Video Splitter)
{DivX Decoder Filter} (Video Decoder)
{Unspecified VFW codec} (Video Post-processor)
{Video Renderer} (Video Renderer)

Please answer gaekwad2's question again.

What does GSpot says in the audio codec area.
This is the section on the right hand side:
Audio > Codec > Name = ?

It means that the audio stream is in a format that can't be decoded by the codecs you have installed.

Now look at the audio codec area, the format should be displayed there.

Is this what you want??

Audio Format:
Code: 0x0055
Name: WAVE_FORMAT_MPEGLAYER3 (MP3)
Vendor: ISO/MPEG

Bit Rate:56 kb/s (28/ch, stereo) CBR

Fs: 24000 Hz

Gspot was unable to find an audio codec which will decompress this format.

To get more information by having GSpot instruct the O/S to "play" the file and then examine the results, press the button labeled "Render".

Try installing this codec.
(Mirror 1 worked for me, unzip it and run setupl3c.exe.)

If you're not sure just keep the default path (C:\audio\radium).
