Getting started...

hey, i am sure that my questions have been asked and answered many a time before, but i would appreciate any help you all have to offer me. Well i know nothing of SHOUTcast or setting it up. what i wish to do is to stream audio from my line-in port, onto the internet. so in essence i wish to live stream over the internet. i was just hoping you guyz/gurlz could point me in the right direction with a bit of help!
