WinAmp Problems
Hi there,
I'm new here and I'm posting because I have a problem with my WinAmp. It's like that: Whenever I try to run the program it says that there was some problem and the program had to close! It was never like that in the old version (2.81 or something) but when it was version 3 and 5 it was always like that. It worked for a few months or weeks and then BAM! Can anyone tell me why that happens? I have a AMD Athlon XP +2200 and Windows XP + 80GB disk space... I shouldn't have any problems, should I? |

What does the error message say?
In the error box, it should say "To view error details... click here". Then you'll see something like AppName: winamp.exe AppVer: 5.0.0.8 ModName: *******.dll ModVer: *.*.*.* Offset: ****** If so, please post them. If it's gen_ff.dll that crashes, try deleting studio.xnf while Winamp is closed (that file is stored in your Winamp folder, default C:\Program Files\Winamp). No luck? Try a clean install. Be sure you got the latest version of Winamp installed (i.e. 5.08). Still no luck? Please provide full system specs. Include a HijackThis log. |
