Grouping Songs
I was wondering if it is possible to group songs in my media library. I want all of the artists to be un the same subfile, so that when I scroll down the library, I don't see every song.
Thanks |

I am not really too sure what you mean by that, but by how much I have scrounged through this program, I probably have encountered it, but it doesn't seem to work. I am even having problems adding files to my media list. I am new to Winamp, so any help would be appreciated.

basically, I want it to work like Musicmatch. I love how that program groups the artists. But I hate how the damn 10th edition kills my performance. Apparently, the Musicmatch people are self-centered and only think people will listen to music on their computer, not do two things at once.

Well to add media you can use the preferences screen -> Media Library -> Watch Folders tab -> add folder...
And then you get a full listing under audio sorted by artist/album/track (in ths order). Then you can basicly type what you're looking for (either artist/album/song title/comment/track number/anything in the tags if I'm not mistaken) and just see it popup in the lower sections of the ML window. I never used musicmatch so I cannot help you by comparing them but I know that the Winamp media Library is the most powerfull music organizing system I have ever seen in a media player
