CD contents listing
I don't know whether this is the right place to post this (how many newbie's have said that this week, but here goes anyway...
I'm trying to burn a mix MP3 CD for a friend. I can use the handy playlist..."generate HTML file"...to get a list of all the mp3's I want to burn (say I'll use nero, despite that fact that it hates my CDRW, burnatonce rulez etc). Fiddling with the title display paramaters means I can get a playlist with all the info displayed, this being "title - album - band". This is good. I can guess that ordering it by "file name", will plaqce the tracks in the playlist in the order that a personal MP3 CD player would churn it out. [Notwitishatnding tracks that don't have a leading zero on the track numeber, grr]. Now what if I want to print out a document that will just list the contents of the cd, folders and filenames included. A bit like god ole "dir" in MS DOS (RIP), or "ls" in Linux? Is there a piece of software, or perhaps a plugin I could use? Using the "Nero CD Cover Designer" I can get it, after much faffin around adding each directory seperately, in reeeely small type because Nero will try to cram all 200 odd file names into a 15 by 20cm piece of paper. Which is nice but utterly useless. Any ideas/help greatly appreciated (also any preferred way of viewing album/title/artist in playlists. It's gonna be a present see )Apologies for length of post... |

File Lister is a nice application that does the job.
Use the '>>' to add a folder to the list including all its subfolders. On the Template page, select HTML, and click the 'Options' button. Uncheck the 2 options at the top (or leave them checked, if you prefer; but links are ugly when printed). You can also output to txt or csv, of course... |
