Hey is shoutcast screwy or something?
Every time I connect to a station on my Winamp it continuously buffers it out. Im wondering if there is perhaps a bug in the system or something. If there is a plug in thatd help, give me one!

You mean...
Hmm I think you're referring to the problem I'm having as well.
Winamp buffers a good minute of sound, but once the music starts playing my connection monitor shows nothing more is being received. Yay. A year ago I used to be able use Winamp for radio flawlessly, but now... well, I have to use RealSomething. ARgh. Btw this is with 24kpbs streams Im using for my 56k of course. |

Now, i have the winamp toolbar, does the toolbar play SHOUTCAST RADIO without opening winamp itself? or am i just barking at the moon wanting that?winamp itself combined with firefox, slows down my comp. am i doing something wrong or do i have a box checked im not supposed to? when i try it the page flashes and a 'what do you want to open this file with?' thing appears.

i don't use the toolbar but my guess is it needs winamp.
however, i am impressed that you only have two forum posts, in the same thread, 12+ years apart! PENN STATE Radio or http://www.LION-Radio.org/ -- BUG #1 = Winamp skips short tracks Wish #1 = Multiple Column Sorting Wish #2 = Add TCMP/Compilation editing |
