Shoutcast Timeout

I have recently encountered a problem with the source, it keeps timing out after EXACTLY 1 HOUR. i have set the recconect to 1 second , but for people who r listning there is quite a big glitch and loss of sound, also if it doesnt rebuffer there end they loose permenant sound


Please Please somebody help!!!!

i dont know of any options in winamp or source that will make it time out after 1 hour.

Check for a process on the source box that may be impacting your source -- I would check for any "Timed" routines like Windows Update, dynamic DNS update, virus scans, or other process that may be using [or taking control of] the network interface or the PC [look for high CPU util] on a schedule. Wireless NIC driver software could also be a culprit.

On your DNAS, what do you have for this setting?

; AutoDumpSourceTime specifies how long, in seconds, the source stream is
; allowed to be idle before the server disconnects it. 0 will let the source
; stream idle indefinately before disconnecting. The default is 30.
AutoDumpSourceTime=600

Add: It would also help to know what the DNAS log "says" before, during and after the source stops.

ive got a lil update on my problem where my stream was skippin..... i tried to stream again and i cleared the playlist and enqueued up another track to play ..wen the stream started it started playing a few seconds of an mp3 i streamed the other day then changed to the 1 i just queued..was that all about??????
