Firstly, please keep this problem on your first thread. It makes it easier to keep track of what's going on and finding the solutions, plus you'll get shouted at.

Secondly, it's broadcasting but unless you give us a link to the broadcast we can't test it for you remotely. Keep an eye on that server log on the DNAS, it will contain errors or not depending on how you're set up.

Apologies. I accidentally clicked on make new topic...>_<
So it is broadcasting? But it is not showing on the radio listing directory. I will post the DNAS log again:

No, you have the classic NAT error, you need to go to www.portforward.com and find your make of router and/or firewall (this includes XP firewall) and forward ports 8000 to 8001. You haven't yet made any holes to stream out of!

How are you connected to the internet? What is between your pc and the outside world?
If you're on XP and updated on service packs you *will* have a firewall there.

This is your last error I believe. You probably have a cable modem which is also a router, check the make and model and then follow the instructions for it on portforward.com or the manufacturers website if you don't find it listed there.
Shoutcast is working, your router needs adjusting to make it visible to the outside world.

Damn

Unfortunately, my modem model is not listed on portforward (it is a Speedtouch 530) and nor is it listed on the manufacturers website, of all places. So im back to square one. I donnot know much about modem tweaking. So wot do I do?

Stupid me

Well, you were right, it WAS there. Now im doing this NAPT thing. Im just checking to make sure Im doing the correct thing. What do I type and where? The portforward guide told me to click new to add, so ive done that, and im confronted with a screen with the following detail slots:

Protocol: Options are TCP or UDP
Inside IP:
Outside IP:
Inside Port:
Outside Port:

If this is the final thing I have to do, il call it a successful day! ^_^

You will need to check your inside IP on your pc you're using for the shoutcast and make sure it is static, this is easily found on portforward.com.

Protocol: Options are TCP or UDP : choose TCP
Inside IP: your static ip
Outside IP: your router ip
Inside Port: 8000
Outside Port: 8000

then once again changing 8000 to 8001

This is no longer a shoutcast problem but a router configuration problem, I haven't experience of your type of router so you'll have to fall back on what the portforward site tells you. Best of luck!

No, Shoutcast is configured. Leave it alone!
Your router now needs to be configured which is entirely separate from Shoutcast.

Yes make sure you add 8000 (TCP) and 8001 (TCP) to your router config.
8000 is for your audience and 8001 is what the DNAS 'listens' to for connections, so the router needs 2 ports for ingoing and outgoing traffic.

so this is how it should look:

Protocol: TCP
Inside IP: Static IP
Outside IP: Modem IP
Inside Port: 8000
Outside Port: 800(1?)0

or do I need to make the aforementioned port with those settings PLUS another one, except the second one has 8001 as the inside and outside ports.?

Protocol: TCP
Inside IP: Static IP
Outside IP: Modem IP
Inside Port: 8000
Outside Port: 8000

then again

Protocol: TCP
Inside IP: Static IP
Outside IP: Modem IP
Inside Port: 8001
Outside Port: 8001

You are opening 2 ports so you have to do it twice. Once for 8000 and then open the next 8001

Well it works, but no volume coming through. Make sure you've set the correct output for your music on the DSP plugin (the one that pops up with winamp)
