Free vs Pro?
I've read the FAQ, and seen the comparison chart (below). Are there any other differences between free and pro that I should know about? Any plugin limitations? Extra advertising? Upgrade nagging? Anything else I'm not thinking about?
Thanks. |

Nope, no advertising, no nag-screens, no plugin limitations, even the update reminder when a new version comes out, which some people may see as nagging, can be turned off (Preferences > General (& Jump to file) > Check for new versions at startup).

...by plugin limitations, plugins that need to be purchased still need to be purchased... take DFX for example

also .. cd ripping is limited to 2x and MP4 AAC file format in Pro until you register it .. unless you want to use the ogg 1.1 encoder
but it's still speed limited at 2x

Honestly, pro only exists because the features that need pro require a per-copy license fee, IIRC. Unless you want to rip/burn in Winamp, pro is a waste, and even then there are better programs at burning and ripping.
