First timer, need assistance....(min/menu/shade)

Alright, I've got my stuff going on and I check it out as a skin (classic). The problem is, the buttons on the top of each of the window appear black. If I'm in the "Main" window, I can click down on one (WinAmp Menu/Minimize/WindowShade/Close) and just drag the mouse over the top of them. Once I do that, the two designs I had for the 'pressed/not pressed' for each of them show up and will stay there in the 'unpressed' state, until I click on a different window (say, the equalizer). Then I have to click on the "Main" window again (at this point, main window is highlighted and buttons are all black) and click on the black button area for the buttons to appear.

.....I've got everything else going good....what am I doing wrong??

Thanks that explained it perfectly. This skin desing stuff is kind of fun....now if I can only decipher what I'm supposed to do with that viscolor.txt file.....?
