Right, save each file as a .bmp
then load all the files into a .zip program such as Winzip, and save the file not as a .zip, but as a .wsz (For winzip, make sure the "Files of Type" option in the save box is set to "All Files (*)") then move the .wsz to your winamp skins directory |

He failed to mention that you first of all need to cut up the bitmaps and what have you into the various images that winamp actually uses to make the skin, simply dropping one image into a .zip file won't work, you need to cut it up first.
Use something like Skinners Atlas to help you, online tutorial here. http://forums.winamp.com/showthread....hreadid=134725 |

Well...there are some programs(I actually use it more now)Called Skin BMP extractor
unfortunatelly it only extracts the files for the Main window...all you have to do is to save your main window as MAIN.BMP in any directory and the programe will generate a BMP with the parts of the skin(for example, it extracts all the control buttons:Prev,Play,Pause,Stop,forward & open and saves them as CBUTTONS.BMP)..a.the only problem with this program is that the Volume and Balance BMP's are not showed properly as they are...it only extracs the part of the window that must be included in the Volume.bmp file... it's your mission to try it...if you're not satisfied, maybe i can do it for you... or if you preffer reading a bit more, why don't you try the skinners atlas tutorial, or the tutorial that is included in StillWater's Sign...both are really helpfull... BTW: It's a nice skin, you've great design skills! hope you can get this trough well... |

I think the fastest way for me to get this skin done is to give it to someone that has had the experience and knows what they are doing. I would hate to release a skin that doesnt work very well but looks pretty cool. and full credit will be given, so if you are interested, email me at jchief@gmail.com.
if worst comes to worse ill have to chop this bad-boy up learn how to skin it myself.. Thanks for all the tips though. |

@LvingCmplteLies,
That's a completely different issue. See here for suggestions when you have trouble auto-installing/downloading skins: http://forums.winamp.com/showthread....25#post1593125 No luck? Post in Tech Support. |
