Browse by Genre?
Other than sorting by the "Genre" column, and scrolling through everything, is there a way to browse by Genre?
It would be nice if that cool drill-down interface you get when you select "Audio" (under "Local Media") started with Genre, then drilled down to Artist/Album/Song, instead of starting at Artist. Either that or some fancy search term, like "genre=rock". I know I can just search by "Rock", but that searches every field, so it would bring up, for example, "Chris Rock", which is comedy, not rock. I can't find a way to do either of these things. Am I missing something? Thanks. |

to search for genres in the search bar, use
?genre has rock Also, if you want to make it a little easier (takes time to do it in the beginning) create smart views for each genre. rightclick local media > add smart view > name genre, and choose simple vs. artist/album view > Query: genre has "rock" Also, a plugin being created, ml_tree discussion here will have a custom sorting where youll be able to sort by genre...which will be nice
