JTFE skinning?

It might be a hardcoded thing but is it possible to change the
colour of the background/selected (blue) area in JTFE window (see piccy)?

Only by changing your Windows theme.

But the selection color, like in the Media Library's left column when you first click something, is the Windows default, and dependent only on your Windows color settings. For instance, that selection is grey on my computer, but when I switch to the blue color theme, it's blue.

My 2 cents

JTFE needs to owner-draw the Listbox control to do this, or maybe just set a new color on one or more of the DLGCOLOR messages.

Best is to owner-draw the listbox's items and make it look like the playlist editor items.

The scrollbar can also be skinned but it only works on Windows 2000/XP because it has support in the kernel for hooking functions in a DLL which is required to skin original scrollbars. One could make it's own scrollbar but then it would be easier to just make it's own damn (pardon my french) listbox control from scratch.
