Annoyance
Hi. Bin awhile since I last posted. I have this insane problem which has already made me snap a keyboard over my knee. Only days ago, I was able to stream Shoutcast in Real Player by following the instructions as outlined in that guide on here..somewhere. But NOW, when I try to launch it in Real player, this stupid error comes up reading "This metafile contains invalid syntax"
WHAT is this?! Before I snap another keyboard, could someone help me out? Thankz! |

If you are snapping a keyboard over silly little matters like this, maybe you ought to forget about shoutcast for a while and work on the things that really matter in life.
To create a realplayer file: 1. Blank text file 2. On first line server address as follows: http://bluedog.wavestreamer.com:8899/ 3. Save file as 'listen.ram' or 'listen.rm' This should do the trick... Good luck

No, No
No, no, you misunderstood what I said (more likely I didnt make myself freaking clear) Im trying to launch my OWN station in Real Player, which worked fine a few days ago. It is working perfectly in Winamp, and will work in Real Player when I launch it on my Desktop, but as soon as I upload the .ram file to a webserver....utter dismay. That "This file contains invalid syntax" comes up.
Anyone know why? |

Fixed
Ignore this thread now. I have fixed the problem. It was the temporary file settings which were wacked.
