Problems with making my skin?

I am new at making skins and I have seen a few that have the columbs in the equilizer gone and I want to do the same with mine but i can not seem to get rid of them and keep my picture there. Can someone help me?

You want to get rid of the EQ sliders? Just cut off the the bottom part of eqmain.bmp so that it has the same size as main.bmp.
