Hello, Nick(555).
I'm a long-time user of Winamp just like you, and one day I decided to switch to foobar. This decision was made because the Winamp Media Library froze my system entirely. I've only been able to reproduce this error on my old PC, but still, I knew it was a Winamp-only bug. By the end of my Winamp-usage period, I was literally afraid to use Winamp on my pc. I was actually almost about to scream in agony each time I launced Winamp Media Library. (DJ Egg, I'm afraid of you too, as you always provide relevant and truthfull points to proove any criticism of Winamp wrong. So please dont scare me anymore :'( ) Back on topic. Foobar2000 is more for the audio enthusiast, who really cares about his audio playback application. Offcourse, you can use Foobar2000 out-of-the-box, but this is insufficient for many Winamp users, like me. With foobar2000, you'll need heaps of time, reading about the application itself, and the downloadable components (Plugins), which can change absolutely any and every aspect of the program. Yes, foobar2000 is indeed a very very good application, but it just doesnt suit the average Joe, just as it doesnt suit me. I suggest you use Winamp.
