Is there a way to launch winamp from a batch file that starts playback and a visualizer?
It appears that the last configuration of the visualizer and the last source get saved, so it only needs to know to lautostart both on launch. Is it possible to launch winamp from a command line with arguments to autostart playback and vizualize? Thanks, |

no, but in preferences, you can have it auto start a vis when winamp is opened.
I'd like to meet a mad man who makes it all seem sane To work out all these troubles and what there is to gain |

Thanks, this helps, but my basic problem is the autostart. Is there a design reason why winamp cannot be launched with such a flag, or might it be added to a future version.

Why would anyone need a plugin to enable autostart?
Start -> Run -> Winamp -> Enter Voila! Alternatively: Edit the desktop shortcut icon (or Start -> Programs -> Winamp) "C:\Program Files\Winamp\Winamp.exe" "C:\Program Files\Winamp\winamp.m3u" The path to the playlist can be any playlist of your choice. (Both sets of quotation marks = necessary if there's any spaces in the full path) However, both of these options start auto-playing from the beginning of the playlist. You'll need the plugin to start playing in the middle of a playlist (where you last left off). |

Well the 2nd example would work, and is also the answer to my question about command line options. The first one however implies that there is interaction, where I am looking for controls for an autolaunched program. Thanks for the additional tip.
