Winamp @ Linux

Hi, can i find linux/unix version of Winamp2/5 ?
On Mandrake is xmms, is it some clone, or it is winamp for linux ? Looks like 2.x but, functionality is equal to 0.

There is no version of Winamp for Linux and there are no plans for there to ever be one. XMMS is a clone.

Ok, but one year ago (meybe 2) i have installed winamp (linux version). So, why now this edition is stopped ? Of course i'm talking about binnary version.

There were a few builds of Winamp3 for Linux, but that died with the rest of the Winamp3 project. There are no Linux builds of Winamp 2.X or Winamp 5.X and there are no plans to ever be.

The development on the Linux port stopped because most coders have left Nullsoft.
