I was trying to get used to my "new" mouse and by mistake I clicked on the dot next to the X on my winamp player. While trying to get the top section back again, I managed to loose all but the tiny little bar that says "winamp"
I was lucky enough to be able to get everything back but the top section with the main controls. I'm afraid to do anything again for fear of loosing more of my player.
Can anyone tell me how to get the top section back where it belongs?
Thanks, and holding my breath waiting,
Alyce

Try CTRL -> W. Or double click on the title bar.

re: missing top of player

Thanks, but I tried the double clicking and the top didn't appear. I have the other parts of the player, But for some reason the top is gone because I accidently put it in windowshade mode. I just need help getting it out of that mode. Would appreciate any help I can get
thanks

Ctrl+W is the keyboard hotkey to toggle in & out of windowshade mode.
Alternatively, click on the middle button of the 3 in the top right corner of main window.
(left one = minimize; right one = exit)

If this still doesn't work:
Exit Winamp (including systray icon, if relevant)
In Explorer, goto your Winamp dir (C:\Program Files\winamp)
Open the winamp.ini file with Notepad & edit the following lines:
mw_open=1
windowshade=0
Save file & exit
Now reopen Winamp & everything should be ok.

Be sure to check that the winamp.ini file doesn't have the Read Only attribute, otherwise you won't be able to modify it.
Also make sure the Winamp dir isn't R.O. & none of the other files in it.
(ie. you cannot use the "View -> Customize this folder" command for the Winamp dir)
