See, I do not go outside. I check the mail, go for a drive, go to the store, but I don't really "go outside". And I type a lot. I'm trying to figure out how much longer your days are over there

yeah, i'm back.

lol he also joined the "invisionfree" team. it's alright, all he would have had to do is come up with a decent explanation as to how he gets so many keys and I would have quit bitching..

yeah, i'm back.

I haven't been able to pulse from my primary computer in a long time now.. I had a corrupted .bin file, after deleting it I was unable to retrieve account info.. even after a reinstall, so I may stop using WhatPulse soon.

yeah, i'm back.

I finally had installed WP on my laptop and I'm getting more keystrokes, so yeah, on my desktop it wouldn't count them all, it took a few minutes to start counting the keys you just typed I still don't see how mojomonkey is now 10 million keystrokes ahead of me. I am online every damned day while I'm awake, go to school mere 4 hours 3 or 4 days a week, work on PHP stuff for IBR, yet he still beats me.

yeah, i'm back.

Mojo, how many computer is your WP installed on?

My house has three people that basically spend the day online. I have WP installed on all 5 computers in my house, and for the past 22 months, I've pulsed my own typing as well as their's. I type 94WPM, they type nowhere near as fast/much, but still.

You've been registered about half the time I have (you: 13 months), yet you're 18 million keystrokes ahead of me. 36th place though, good job

yeah, i'm back.

Won't look at it.. doesn't want questions asked?

I'll go as far to say I have no real-life friends and the sole purpose of my life is using the computer and I still only manage 40k keys a day I forgot I was running this program for a while.. it's part of my o/s now

yeah, i'm back.

What happened to our team? Looks like dlinkwit, mysterious_w, Warrior of the Light, and myself are the only ones still pulsing on a regular basis...

Still, our team is currently ranked 188 out of 6555 (not to shabby), but we could easily make it to the top 25 if we recruited some more members!

This is a sig of some nature.

Allow me to reconsider joining this. . .

Step 1: Install keystroke monitor
Step 2: Go to site to associate yourself with an ID
Step 3: Keystroke monitor phones home about how many keystrokes a particular ID types.

They may very well be telling the truth that all that they're monitoring is count. I don't think it's worth the risk.

Never underestimate the bandwidth of a station wagon full of tapes hurtling down the highway.

My problem with this thing is that Windows XP has this annoying bug when you capture keystrokes that makes your mouse freeze every time a window is maximizing or minimizing -- and while it doesn't really effect anything, it annoys me enough to not use it.

I joined. I don't type much on this machine, at least in comparison to when I was working on my dissertation and doing lots of uni work. mostly just the odd forum posting, some photo editing. I have started playing a few games recently thoguh, so that will probably rank up the key strokes a bit. I don't think it would work if I installed it at work, I'll try though because that would rank up my stats dramatically as I do a lot of typing there.

I may be wrong, but I'd guess that you just don't notice it, because every XP machine I've used has the same thing. It's subtle, but it catches my eye and drives me nuts.

what sort of max/min effects do you have on? I turned all the eye-candy off, so maybe that could be why.

Ah. It's basically the "animate windows while maximizing/minimizing" setting, because the mouse only stops while that is going on.
