Not sure what I have done but I was looking through the properties of the plug-ins and dialogue box came up asking which directory to put .wav output in. I chose C drive and now have no sound with winamp at all and it appears that playback is at 4-6 times that of normal. Any idea what I have screwed up and how to fix it.

A little more description, under preferences, output I hightlighted Nullsoft Disk Writer plug-in v 1.0 (x86). Then I get a box asking which directory to put .wav file output. I just picked c drive which obviously was the wrong choice.

The output writer doesn't make any sound - it just takes your MP3 and writes it to disk as a wav file. Go back to the output plugins page and reselect the wavOut plugin. For good measure click configure then click ok.

And don't forget to delete all the WAV files you accidentally created, to free up a good bit of hard disk space.
