Disable song ticker like in WinAMP 2

Hi folks,

I did quite some searches and read all FAQs, but I couldn't find an answer for this.

I am using WinAMP 5.093 and just copied some old WinAMP 2.x skins from my old computer. Many of my favourite skins had no song ticker in WinAMP 2, for example the "Mihoko Sunouchi Skin" by John Kruizenga (perhabs better known as "Beach II", simply a girl in bikini at the beach). When I open them in WinAMP 5, the song ticker is the standard black line. I checked it, in WinAMP 2 it's not there.

Is there any way to disable the song ticker completely or to use transparency to make it disappear?

Thx for your time and answers!

PS: The skin is too big for the attach file option...

Sounds like whoever made the skin messed around with the bitmap font to remove it, probably used a 1x1 pixel or something.

Winamp5 by default uses a system font in the songticker, however you can alter it back to wa2 style

CTRL+P > Preferences > Classic skins > Check the 'use skinned font for main window display' option.

Refresh or reload your skin that has the 'missing ticker' and that should probably cure it.

IF that dosn't work, then I'm not sure there is no way of physically removing the ticker in wa2/5 classic skins, other than buggering around with the bitmap as described above.

Solved!

Thx, that did it!

I just had to activate the skinned font and to disable the auto scrolling. I already tried all options, but didn't think of reloading the skin...
