I am trying to play mp3's from my zip drive but they are all so jumpy...they were fine the last time i tried though. I have tried changing the buffer length etc..... what else can i do ????

What type of Zip Drive?
Parrallel Zip drive? Thoes are really slow, its not that goood to play MP3s off them. |

Proceede At you Own Risk:
restart your computer an enter your BIOS. look for somthing along the lines of "LPT Mode" (Intergrated Pereferials in some BIOS). Make ssure iyou have selected ECP or ECP/EPP Save the settings. BE VERY CAREFUL. (I am not 100% sure on the modes, its been a while, somebody wanna correct me?) |

its about the zip drive prob.
mabee your songs are too complicated like the sound of limp biskuit. or it can't read the song fast enough, that'll really make it jumpy. it be better if you put them on a cd if you have a cd burner. cuz then it would read real well and it'll be nice and clear. and if you want cd's get the CD/RW's cuz you can delete info and put in info. and don't forget, if you want music on cd's then get DC/RW music cd's so you can listen to the songs on cd players.
